What You'll Do:

• Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology consults and follow-up care at JMH and SCCH facilities
• Support tele-consult services during call weeks for RCH
• Manage approximately 15 patients per day, mainly adult population
• Participate in outpatient treatment planning and inpatient consultations as needed
• Collaborate with dedicated nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain documentation in Epic EMR system
• Cover one week of 24-hour call per month, including clinic coverage and inpatient consults

What You Need:

• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Virginia medical license (must have license in hand before start date)
• BLS certification
• DEA registration
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Clean background (no MP history)

About the Assignment:

This role is at a leading facility in Big Stone Gap, VA, covering both hematology and oncology services across two sister facilities. The provider will support adult patients, spend time at JMH primarily, and collaborate closely with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams. A mix of inpatient and outpatient care, telehealth consults, and infusion services are included in the scope.
