Job Title: Part-Time Janitorial Worker Job Description
This part-time janitorial role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of multiple commercial properties within a 20-mile radius. You will travel between assigned locations using your personal vehicle while performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks. All cleaning supplies and equipment will be provided and stored on-site, and a weekly gas card will help offset fuel expenses related to travel.
Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust designated areas, including floors, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and ensure proper waste handling and disposal.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and entryways to maintain a professional and welcoming appearance.
• Restock paper products, soap, and other consumable supplies in restrooms and common areas.
• Follow sanitation and disinfection procedures to meet cleanliness and health standards.
• Perform floor care tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and other floor maintenance as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, damage, or safety hazards promptly to management or the appropriate contact.
• Ensure each assigned site consistently meets cleanliness and appearance standards.
• Travel between multiple locations throughout the workday using a personal vehicle, following the assigned schedule.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively across multiple sites.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning roles.
• Hands-on experience with commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, or general custodial maintenance.
• Proficiency in sanitation and disinfection procedures for restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
• Ability to perform floor care, including mopping, sweeping, and general floor cleaning.
• Experience with restroom cleaning and sanitization, including fixtures, floors, and surfaces.
• Competence in trash removal and waste management, including safe handling and disposal.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness standards.
• Ability to lift approximately 25-40 pounds and perform physical cleaning duties for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, walk, and move throughout the shift while performing repetitive tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle suitable for traveling between job sites.
• Ability to travel between job sites within a 20-mile radius as part of the regular schedule.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Strong attendance and time-management skills to consistently meet schedule and site requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning environments.
• Background in environmental services or similar roles within commercial or industrial settings.
• Experience using standard janitorial tools and equipment such as vacuums, mops, brooms, and cleaning agents.
• Comfort working in multiple locations and adapting to different facility layouts and requirements.
• Reliable and self-motivated work style, with a focus on completing tasks thoroughly and efficiently.

Work Environment
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week, scheduled Wednesday through Sunday from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. You will work in commercial properties, including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas. The schedule offers flexibility based on assigned locations within a 20-mile radius. Work is physically active and involves standing, bending, walking, lifting 25-40 pounds, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift. All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided and stored at each job site, and you will use your personal vehicle to travel between locations, supported by a weekly gas card to help offset fuel costs.
