Job Description
Title
Cardiothoracic Vascular ICU Nurse - CVICU

Schedule
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- CVICU/Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Charting System: Cerner preferred
- Pending license accepted

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative care for adult patients following cardiac surgery and complex vascular procedures.
- Monitor and manage patients with advanced medical devices and therapies such as CRRT, ECMO, and IABP.
- Administer medication and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to clinical protocols.
- Maintain and manage invasive monitoring lines (arterial lines, central lines) and perform procedures (chest tube management, foley/NG placement).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Drug screen required within 30 days of start
- Break rules apply as per contract agreements
