Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU/PEDS

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 × 12-hour night shifts per week (645 PM - 0715 AM), with every third weekend and potential holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and PEDS experience to provide comprehensive respiratory care services. This position involves ensuring the respiratory needs of patients from neonates to geriatrics are met, particularly in critical care situations.

Responsibilities

• Administer nebulizer medications, Meter Dose Inhalers (MDI), and Dry Powder Inhalers (DPI).
• Initiate and manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilation for patients across age groups.
• Conduct arterial blood collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Manage airway procedures, including assisting with intubation and bedside bronchoscopies.
• Provide tracheostomy care and support in internal transport.
• Utilize neonatal bubble CPAP and high flow oxygen therapy for patients as needed.
• Implement bronchopulmonary hygiene measures and oxygen therapy delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NICU and PEDS experience required.
• Active RRT license for the state of Pennsylvania.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS.
