Job Summary
The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is based in Bellingham, Washington, within a dedicated 10-bed recovery unit located within a comprehensive cardiovascular center. The role involves providing post-procedure recovery and patient care in a specialized environment that supports cardiac and vascular diagnoses, utilizing advanced equipment and adhering to strict clinical protocols. The position starts on 08/04/2026 and offers an evening shift schedule.

Job Details

• Location: Bellingham, Washington
• Shift: Evenings, 5x8 hours shifts from 1300 to 2130
• Schedule: Evenings, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS and ACLS; Education: RN degree; License: Washington or Compact license ( ETA 2 weeks ); Experience: 1 year in PACU or Post Anesthesia Care Unit with prior experience in cardiovascular recovery, including cath lab and EP lab procedures
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification and experience with Epic charting system
• Additional Information:
  • The unit supports adult patients with cardiac and vascular diagnoses
  • Daily census is approximately 14 patients across 10 beds
  • Responsibilities include End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, cardiac monitoring, and post-procedure recovery care
  • The environment involves collaborative interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit support staff
  • Candidates must be willing to float within the healthcare system as needed
