Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. This position supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including supervising associates, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly displayed. The role includes maintaining high standards of customer service, resolving customer concerns, and promoting a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. The Assistant Store Manager helps manage scheduling, training, and performance feedback for team members, while supporting initiatives to meet sales goals and control expenses. This role also assists with retail loss prevention efforts, compliance with company policies, and execution of promotional activities to drive store performance. Qualifications Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction. Effective Communication abilities for interacting with customers, associates, and leadership. Experience with Store Management responsibilities, such as supervising staff and overseeing daily operations. Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices to help protect company assets and ensure a secure environment. Prior experience in retail or grocery store operations, preferably in a supervisory or lead role. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Solid organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and store management software. High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business, retail management, or a related field is beneficial.
