Health Mobile Driver (PT)

Description Hampton University – Sentara Community Engagement Project iscurrently seeking an experienced and qualified part-time Bus Driverfor the Hampton University’s Health Mobile. Examples of Duties Transport project personnel (faculty, students) and equipment to local community sites to perform healthcare screenings. Operate and safely drive Hampton University Health Mobile unit (up to 41 feet) Inspect the Health Mobile: prior and post trips Schedule maintenance and repair of mobile unit, e.g. oil changes, fuel check, fluid checks etc. with HU Vehicle services and maintain event equipment (tables, awnings, banners). Maintain all DOT and vehicle logs as required by law and all University documents. Actively document and report any malfunctions/accidents on an as needed basis. Perform related work as required of the project. Other duties as assigned Typical Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Good Interpersonal and communication skills Two or more years of verifiable experience driving vehicle with a gross weight of 23,000 lbs. or more (such as a bus, RV, or delivery vehicle) Acceptable driving record Must have a CDL license with air brake endorsement. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hampton University
