Executive Program Scholarships for Journalists

The Media Excellence scholarships are aimed at journalists working for all types of media: newspapers, magazines, news agencies, online newspapers, news or analysis programs, and audiovisuals. In the 2026–2027 call, IESE Business School will offer up to eight professionals the opportunity to take one of its Executive Programs at its campuses in Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, or New York. IESE’s Executive Programs are recognised among the best in the world, ranking third globally according to the Financial Times. These programs are taught by top-level professors with a global perspective and a strong focus on people, ethics, and social responsibility. Candidates will be evaluated based on their professional experience (minimum 10 years), the examples of their work presented, their motivation for the program and, when it applies, the recommendation from their media management. Candidates’ work must reflect a high level of professional excellence and respect for journalism ethics. In line with IESE’s mission, the school will positively value work that has promoted good business practices, the improvement of situations of social injustice, among others. The IESE Media Excellence Scholarship program is divided into two categories: General Management Scholarship , aimed at training senior journalists in general management functions through a 6-to-8-month program. IESE will award four scholarships (two in Spanish and two in English). This scholarship will cover 80% of tuition fees. Business Specialist Scholarship , which allows a senior journalist to attend a 3-to-5-day program focused on a business or management skill. Four scholarships will be awarded, covering 80% of the tuition fees. How To Apply Candidates must apply for one of the two categories and submit specific documentation.
