Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Experienced PACU and ICU Nurses! Job Description:
- Join an esteemed team looking for talented nurses with:
- 1-2 years of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and/or Level I trauma center Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience.
- Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility.
- Work Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekend on-call positions.
- Saturday day shift: 7 AM - 7:30 PM (mandatory worked day).
- On-call required shifts include:
- Saturday (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Sunday (7 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state/district required.
- PACU/Preop experience required; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience necessary (surgicenter experience not applicable).
- PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
- CPAN, TNCC, and CCRN certifications highly desirable.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor post-operative patients' recovery levels and consciousness from anesthesia and provide necessary updates to the medical team.
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs.
- Observe patients for signs of side effects from anesthesia medication.
- Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms, administering medication as prescribed.
- Update electronic medical records (EMR), patient files, and medical records.
