Assistant Director of Nursing / Unit Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures. Supervise and lead nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure a skilled and compassionate team. Monitor and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring they align with individual needs and regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of excellence in patient care, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of nursing staff. Participate in quality assurance initiatives, conducting regular audits and assessments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance communication and coordination of care. Handle escalated patient care issues, collaborating with staff to resolve challenges effectively. Act as a liaison between nursing staff and administration, facilitating clear communication and addressing concerns promptly. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) preferred or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Valid Arizona state license. Strong understanding of long‑term care regulations and quality improvement processes. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
