Periodontal Dental Assistant
Job Summary:
As Periodontal Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care by assisting the periodontist with surgical and non-surgical procedure, maintaining sterilization protocols, and educating patients on oral health and post-operative care. You will work in a fast-paced practice where attention to detail and compassion are key.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for periodontal procedures.
- Assist the periodontist with surgical procedures such as scaling and root planning, crown lengthening, dental implant placement and tissue grafting.
- Ensure accurate documentation and charting of patient records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post operative care instructions.
- Monitor inventory and maintain adequate stock of instruments and supplies.
- Ensure proper infection control protocols and OSHA compliance are met
- Support front office staff with scheduling and patient communication as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and professional clinical environment.
