JOB SUMMARY

The X-Ray Technician will provide quality patient care and customer service. They will radiograph each patient with speed, efficiency, and compassion following FOA’s basic policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform digital x-ray exams on patients Utilize collimation on every image and filtration when necessary Follow all physician protocols Obtain order from the PACs system worklist Prepare and position patient for X-Ray exam Ability to work both independently and as a team‑player Must be flexible with schedule Document and maintain daily patient X-Ray exams as required by the State of Florida rules and regulations Maintain a clean and safe working environment Maintain Florida License and ARRT License by adhering to CEU responsibilities Burn CDs All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

X-ray Technician or BMO with current Florida license required High school graduate or GED equivalent Must have knowledge of medical terminology Working knowledge of proper radiography technique including positioning and body habits Exhibit skills in using a personal computer, including software and internet, EMR and PM systems Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
