About the Role:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a critical scientific expert and bridge between the pharmaceutical or biotechnology company and the medical community. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and researchers to facilitate the exchange of scientific information and insights. The MSL provides up-to-date clinical and scientific data to support the safe and effective use of the company's products, while also gathering valuable feedback from the field to inform internal teams. By staying current with the latest medical research and therapeutic trends, the MSL ensures that the company’s strategies and communications are scientifically accurate and relevant. Ultimately, the MSL contributes to advancing patient care and supporting the company’s medical and commercial objectives through expert scientific engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare field such as MD, PharmD, or PhD.
• Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and therapeutic area knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to interpret and present complex scientific data clearly and accurately.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison or in a similar medical affairs role.
• Experience working within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance related to medical communications.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders.
• Advanced training or certification in medical communications or related fields.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and researchers within assigned therapeutic areas.
• Communicate complex scientific and clinical data clearly and effectively to healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate understanding of product benefits and risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory, and commercial to provide scientific insights and support product lifecycle management.
• Identify and report emerging scientific trends, clinical data, and competitor activities to internal stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
• Conduct medical education sessions, advisory boards, and scientific presentations to disseminate relevant information and gather feedback from the medical community.
