PLC Programmer

A rapidly growing manufacturer in Washington State is seeking a PLC Programmer to support and improve its automated production equipment. This is a newly created position with a strong focus on programming, controls, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on PLC programming experience and a solid understanding of fluid flow, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics. Experience with AutomationDirect systems is preferred, but candidates with transferable experience using other PLC platforms may also be considered.

Job Details

Responsibilities Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment Support AutomationDirect PLC and control systems Configure and troubleshoot HMIs, VFDs, and valve controls Diagnose automation, electrical, and process-related issues Improve equipment performance, reliability, and process efficiency Assist with equipment upgrades and automation projects Work closely with maintenance and production leadership Provide occasional hands-on maintenance support as needed

Qualifications Hands-on PLC programming experience Strong knowledge of fluid flow and fluid dynamics Understanding of thermodynamics and process controls Experience with HMIs, VFDs, and automated valve controls Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and control systems Instrumentation and electrical experience is highly desirable AutomationDirect experience is preferred Refinery, process manufacturing, or similar industrial experience is a plus Relevant degree or technical education is helpful, but strong hands-on experience will also be considered Recent graduates with relevant programming and controls experience are encouraged to apply

Schedule and Compensation Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eight to ten hours of voluntary overtime may be available
