Dietary AideThe Dietary Aide performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department and is accountable to Director of Food Services.Requirements:High School GraduateDietary Experience preferredAbility to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and work assignmentsWillingness to perform routine and repetitive tasks efficientlyNumerical ability necessary for recipe preparation and proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicalsGood motor coordination and skills for work routines such as preparing food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes, operating dietary equipment and work areaMust be able to lift 50 pounds or moreMust be able to withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes when entering refrigerated storage areas or when working at oven ranges, dish washing machines, and at steam tablesFlexible availability, including weekendsJob Duties:Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of mealsMeet scheduled meal and snack timesFollow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department policies and proceduresFollow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduledAssist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts, and serving mealsWash and store dishesFollow established reporting proceduresAssist in receiving and storing foods and suppliesAttend In-Service educational programsFollow defined safety codesFollow defined Infection Control ProceduresUnderstand Facility Emergency Preparedness Plans following established procedures during all drills and actual emergenciesPerform other department duties as assigned by DirectorJob Type: Full-timePay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
