Major Gift Officer

Job Description The Foundations of Kaleida Health, including the Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation and the Kaleida Health Foundation, are a dynamic and growing nonprofit supporting programs, equipment, and technology at WNY’s premier health care system and Golisano Children’s Hospital (GCH). We are seeking a Major Gift Officer to join our fundraising team. The Officer will work collaboratively with the development team to build and execute the organization’s major gifts annual fundraising goals and objectives. Responsibilities include identifying, engaging, soliciting, cultivating, and stewarding current and prospective donors, assessing and nurturing prospects, and creating individual engagement plans that increase philanthropic support from leadership donors. Location Conventus, Buffalo, NY, USA Job Type Full‑time, Hybrid Education and Credentials Bachelor’s degree required. Experience 3 to 5 years of sales or front‑line fundraising experience. Proven success in relationship building and portfolio management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills. Experience with Raiser's Edge, other fundraising software, or sales CRM preferred. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. Working Conditions Department: CHF Unrestricted Funds. Standard Hours: 9 am – 5 pm, bi‑weekly payroll. Work arrangement: Hybrid. No on‑call or weekend/holiday requirement. Union Status: Non‑union. Compensation Salary: $61,756.50–$84,922.50 annually, paid Bi‑weekly. Wage determined by experience, qualifications, internal equity, and collective bargaining agreement.
