Groton Community Health Care Center is seeking a Cook to join our team!
Location: Groton, NY (15 min from Cortland)Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 Hourly
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation & Service : Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods for residents, ensuring high-quality meals.
Baking : Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies, following recipes and dietary specifications.
Tray Line Service : Work on the tray line during meal service to ensure residents' meals are served efficiently and accurately.
Kitchen Cleanliness : Maintain a clean kitchen, including hand washing and sanitizing pots and pans.
Cook Requirements:
Experience : Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.
Leadership : Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
Transportation : Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
Physical Capability : Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and standing for long periods.
Team Player : Should be a strong team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge : Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
