We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to support quality assurance, laboratory data validation, and system testing activities within a laboratory environment. The successful candidate will work closely with laboratory professionals, software developers, and IT teams to ensure the accuracy, integrity, traceability, and compliance of laboratory data and information systems.

The role focuses on supporting a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), improving Python-based data operations, reviewing analytical data packages, validating Excel calculations, and ensuring laboratory processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Work with laboratory personnel, developers, and IT teams to document and implement quality assurance requirements.

• Support the implementation, testing, and validation of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

• Revise and enhance existing Python code and data operations to improve efficiency and system integration.

• Review software programs, specifications, and documentation to verify compliance with user requirements and quality standards.

• Identify software defects, data discrepancies, and process gaps and recommend appropriate improvements.

• Conduct detailed reviews of analytical laboratory data packages to verify accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.

• Review laboratory procedures to identify deviations from published analytical methods.

• Validate Excel spreadsheets used for analytical calculations and reporting.

• Examine system outputs, audit trails, and electronic records to ensure data integrity and traceability.

• Evaluate chemical inventory systems and recommend improvements.

• Assist with annual competency reviews for laboratory personnel across multiple analytical methods.

• Develop and review quality standards based on established laboratory testing methods.

• Maintain accurate documentation and support continuous improvement of laboratory quality assurance processes.

• 13 years of experience in quality assurance within an analytical, environmental, chemical, or similar laboratory environment.

• Python programming skills.

• Experience working with IT or software development teams on LIMS implementation, testing, or validation.

• Experience identifying software defects and recommending system improvements.

• Ability to review analytical data packages and verify compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

• Understanding of data accuracy, traceability, electronic records, and quality assurance documentation.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with STARLIMS or another Laboratory Information Management System.

• Familiarity with analytical chemistry, environmental testing, or laboratory operations.

• Experience validating Excel spreadsheets and analytical calculations.

• Knowledge of EPA, FDA, or state environmental testing and reporting requirements.

• Experience reviewing laboratory audit trails, procedures, and quality documentation.

• Hybrid work arrangement in Indianapolis, Indiana.

• In-person interview required.

• One-year contract engagement, with the anticipated start date of November 2, 2026.
