Kitchen Farms hiring a Farm Mechanic – Technician to join our team in Elmira, MI (about 20 miles west of Gaylord). In this role you will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair farm machinery and agriculture equipment on-site. This position plays an important role in minimizing downtime and ensuring our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for daily farm operations.

We are a family-owned farming operation based in northern lower Michigan, specializing in growing and supplying quality potatoes. We offer competitive compensation based on experience, after 90 days fully-paid health insurance (employee only), IRA with 3% match, sick and paid time off, and much more. What you will be doing Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair farm machinery and agriculture equipment Perform repairs and maintenance on tractors, potato harvesting machinery, forklifts, trucks, lawn mowers, and other equipment Identify mechanical problems and determine the appropriate repair Help minimize equipment downtime by addressing maintenance and repair needs in a timely manner Maintain a safe and organized work environment Work independently while supporting the needs of the farm and broader team Take a thorough, problem-solving approach to equipment repairs This job is for you if you have: Previous agricultural xihmbke equipment repair experience is required Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience working with farm machinery and agriculture equipment Ability to work on a variety of equipment, including tractors, trucks, harvesting machinery, and yard equipment Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively Must provide your own toolsVacancy posted 23 hours ago
