Our Business Support teams enable our trading and engineering teams to perform at their best.At Tower, employees will find a stimulating, results-oriented environment where highly intelligent and motivated colleagues inspire each other to reach their greatest potential.Responsibilities:Designing, implementing, and deploying high-frequency trading algorithmsWorking with a dedicated mentor to research and enhance existing trading strategiesExploring trading ideas by analyzing market data and market microstructure for patternsCreating tools to analyze data for patternsContributing to libraries of analytical computations to support market data analysis and tradingDeveloping, augmenting, and calibrating exchange simulatorsQualifications:Availability for 4-6 months or 10-week summer termPhD student focusing on mathematics, statistics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, economics, or related fieldsA strong background in C++, R, Python, or an object-oriented programming languageStrong problem-solving abilitiesA passion for new technologies and ideasThe ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skillsInterest in financial marketsPreferred Qualifications (not required):Past industry experienceExperience with machine learningAnticipated New York weekly base salary range $3,500-5,700.Benefits:Tower's headquarters are in the historic Equitable Building, right in the heart of NYC's Financial District and our impact is global, with over a dozen offices around the world.At Tower, we believe work should be both challenging and enjoyable.
