REIC is hiring a courteous and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Technician at our Idaho Falls location (we offer relocation assistance for the right candidate). Our ideal candidate will have experience working on all types of equipment (both diesel and gasoline), an eye for safety, and enjoy working on a team and in a fast-paced environment. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, this is an in-shop position responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including diesel and gasoline engines and equipment over 10,000 lbs. Upon return to the shop, equipment will be inspected for damage and repaired and serviced as needed. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with emergency calls as needed and a rotating on-call schedule. Top candidates will have:Technical repair knowledge on a wide range of equipment.Work in shop and in field as needed.Ability to multi-task, work independently, and be self-motivated.Driving record violation-free for previous three years.All appropriate hand tools related to general repair and maintenance operations.Able to lift 50 lbs. or more, several times per day.% of workday performing, but not limited to:Standing 20%Walking 70%Sitting 10%Veterans encouraged to apply!This position is classified as nonexempt. REIC does NOT accept 3rd party recruiter solicitations.REIC and all affiliates operate as drug-free environments, which includes marijuana.
