Receiving AssociateRural King is seeking a Receiving Associate to support accurate receiving, inventory control, freight processing, and merchandise movement throughout the store. This role receives shipments, processes purchase orders, verifies inventory, sorts freight, and replenishes merchandise on the sales floor.Related Job TitlesReceiving Associate • Receiving Clerk • Warehouse Associate • Inventory Associate • Stock Associate • Freight AssociateResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoReceiving & InventoryReceive shipments and process purchase orders according to company SOPs.Use scan guns and computer systems to accurately document receipts and inventory.Identify and communicate purchase order, DC, and vendor discrepancies.Maintain accurate receiving records and research negative on-hand inventory.Verify merchandise pricing, labels, and security tags as required.Freight & MerchandiseUnload, sort, organize, and distribute freight throughout the store.Replenish merchandise and assist with sales floor inventory during high-demand periods.Process store-to-store transfers, shipping, and UPS shipments accurately.Follow apparel receiving and merchandising procedures, including tagging, labeling, rack organization, and stock levels.Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, scan guns, and other equipment.Store OperationsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.Demonstrate Rural King's Values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.Perform other duties as assigned.What We're Looking For1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, freight, or related experience preferred.Experience with purchase orders, inventory control, or shipping and receiving preferred.Comfortable using computers, scan guns, and inventory systems.Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.Ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies, and meet productivity expectations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn.QualificationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods.Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.Ability to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and ladder.Ability to navigate and access all required store facilities.Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.Close vision required for computer-related activities.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.CompensationExact compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
