Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Orthopedic Med-Surg Telemetry – Alabama

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Alabama

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 day shifts, 0700-1930; block scheduling available; patient ratio 1:6-7

Highlights:

• Orthopedic unit with medical-surgical and telemetry overflow requiring cardiac drip proficiency
• Must be proficient in managing cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
• 42-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
• Block scheduling may be accommodated for optimal work-life balance
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
• Pre-start modules required; non-billable preparation time

Requirements:

• Active Alabama RN license required at time of submission (pending license acceptable)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Medical-surgical and telemetry experience required
• Experience working in large healthcare facilities
• Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from facility location
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
