This position requires floating to clinically appropriate units as needed, within the clinician's scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies. Weekend and holiday coverage is expected, with every other weekend required. There is a possibility of floating to other Med-surg departments as needed. The responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing nursing care plans, and implementing patient care strategies. Collaboration with the healthcare team is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Effective communication with patients and families is vital to provide support and education about their conditions. Adherence to all regulations and best practices in nursing is expected. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation is necessary. The role may involve participation in quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities.
