Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Denali National Park & Preserve spans 6.2 million acres and is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America. The area offers daily bus services along the park road during the warm summer months and opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, climbing, and camping. The Denali Park Village Hotel is located 7 miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park and operates from May to September, offering comfortable accommodations, dining options, and live entertainment in a stunning natural setting. Position Details: This exciting seasonal role is available from June to September . We offer competitive wages, comfortable on-site housing, and a variety of activities to keep your summer vibrant. An on-site gym is available and an inclusive meal plan is offered for just $16 a day. We’re hiring full-time Baristas to join our team. You’ll prepare specialty drinks, assist with food preparation, receive orders and payments, and provide memorable experiences for our customers. Job Responsibilities Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions. Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs. Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages per brand standards. Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards. Count, organize, and balance cash drawer, fill out cashier slips, and make deposits. Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures. Set up and break down coffee bar, stations, or store including cleaning and sanitizing. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area. Stock beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Other duties as assigned by management. Note: Job duties may change or be added without formal notice to meet commitments. Qualifications Previous customer service experience preferred. Previous cash handling experience preferred. Previous experience as a barista preferred. Basic math and counting skills required. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Required to follow dress code as assigned. Able to read and communicate in English and follow recipes. Complete Food Handling Certification as required. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing.
