OTR Truck Dispatcher - Dry Van & Flatbed

NOW HIRING – EXPERIENCED OTR DISPATCHER

Houston, TX | 53' Dry Van & 48'/53' Flatbed

Pay: $20–$25/hour (depending on experience)

We are a growing transportation company based in Houston, TX operating in the OTR spot market. We currently operate semi-trucks with 53' Dry Van trailers and 48'/53' Flatbed trailers, and we are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our team.

⚠️ This is NOT an entry-level position.

We are looking for someone who already understands the trucking industry and knows how to keep trucks moving profitably using load boards such as DAT and TruckStop.

✅ REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1 year of dispatch experience

• Experience with OTR spot market freight

• Knowledge of Dry Van and Flatbed operations

• Experience using DAT, TruckStop, and communicating with brokers

• Understanding of flatbed equipment and securement basics:

• Tarps and tarp sizes
• Coil racks
• Dunnage
• Chains, binders, straps, edge protectors, etc.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Organized, proactive, and goal-oriented

• Fluent English required

• Intermediate Spanish required (Spanish does not need to be your first language)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Finding and booking profitable freight for drivers

• Negotiating rates with brokers

• Managing driver schedules and routes

• Communicating with brokers and drivers throughout the load process

• Keeping trucks loaded and productive at all times

️ Training will focus mainly on our internal workflow, systems, and TMS. Industry knowledge and dispatch experience are REQUIRED.
