Director of Forensic Evaluation Service (Supervising Physician)Deadline: Open until filledSalary: $29,003 - $31,825 per monthsLocation: Salem, ORThe Forensic Evaluation Service (FES) Director leads, supports, and coordinates the activities of the Forensic Evaluation Service, Legal Affairs Department at the Oregon State Hospital (OSH) serving individuals from the courts, including those found Guilty Except for Insanity (GEI), deemed incompetent to aid in their defense, or civilly committed. This position provides clinical supervision and administrative management of FES staff including psychiatrists, psychologists, and support staff and oversees the quality of forensic evaluations (competency, criminal responsibility, and risk), reviews peer evaluations and conducts complex assessments. The FES Director assures compliance with federal and state laws, administrative rules, the Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSH policies, and professional standards of practice.For a full review of the position description, please click here. What We Are Looking ForMinimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.You must possess:Board certification in general psychiatry and be either board eligible or have board certification in forensic psychiatry at the time of appointment. Physician's license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain the licensure throughout employment.
