About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care hospital Labor & Delivery License: Active RN License Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, EFM-C or AWHONN Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role Description: This position requires travel as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. The unit consists of 16 beds and approximately 40 staff members. The team includes 6 RNs on the day shift and 5 RNs on the night shift. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:2, and may fluctuate based on acuity. Equipment on the unit includes a GE fetal monitor system and utilizes CPN and Meditech EMR. Candidates should possess comfort with unblocked or unepiduralized patients. Strong collaboration skills with physicians, midwives, and doulas are essential. Experience in mom/baby couplet care is preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include cerclages, versions, c-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&Cs, care of fetal demise, and epidurals. Candidates must be able to circulate during c-sections and care for both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork, a cheerful disposition, collaborative spirit, and exceptional patient experience skills.
