Civil Project Manager

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil and site development projects from preconstruction through completion. This individual will be responsible for managing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and execution while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage project plans, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Partner closely with field Superintendents to establish project goals, milestones, deliverables, and timelines. Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and design teams to review plans, specifications, and construction drawings, including identifying and resolving design conflicts. Maintain project documentation including cost forecasts, budgets, material procurement trackers, permits, schedules, takeoffs, as-builts, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, permitting agencies, and safety standards. Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, invoices, change orders, billing, and cost tracking. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value‑engineering solutions to maximize project efficiency and profitability. Lead and facilitate project meetings, both in-office and in the field, to review schedules, project progress, challenges, and upcoming work activities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to proactively mitigate project risks and resolve issues affecting project delivery. Drive project execution while maintaining quality standards, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of construction project management experience with a focus on site development and heavy civil construction. Strong experience managing projects involving: Earthwork and grading Shoring and excavation support systems Ground improvement systems Foundations Pavement and roadway construction Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, industry regulations, permitting processes, and safety practices. Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and construction software platforms. Strong analytical, organizational, and financial management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive schedules and multiple project priorities. Proven problem‑solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate contractors, clients, engineers, and internal teams.
