Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, Days, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with holiday rotation and every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients across various departments, including critical care and pediatrics. The clinician must be able to float to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery, to meet the facility's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapies and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments, including interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and perform troubleshooting on high-pressure alarms.
• Provide care in emergency situations and assist in the delivery of high-risk infants.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
• Active SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) license required at the time of start.
• National certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) must be in hand at the time of start.
• No first-timers accepted; only RRT candidates, not CRT.
