My Friend's Place Housing SupervisorThe My Friend's Place Housing Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the MFP transitional housing cottage. The supervisor oversees the cottage to ensure it meets agency expectations and goals, ensures the cottage maintains compliance with agency and HUD requirements, assesses cottage needs, develops goals, and ensures that the cottage has a cooperative working relationship with the rest of the program and agency, supervises assigned staff and assists them in their job duties. This program works with homeless young adults aged 18-24. Providing mentorship, life skills, education assistance, workforce development, job readiness training, and housing.Duties & Essential Job Functions•Manage the cottage to ensure it operates within the rules, regulations, and guidelines.•Establish and oversee administrative procedures to meet objectives set by the Director and leadership team; participate in developing department goals and objectives.•Establish and maintain cottage systems, records, and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continuously improve cottage services.•Supervise assigned staff members and volunteers.Work Environment/Remote Office RequirementsThis position requires the ability to operate in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The schedule requires flexibility based on the availability of the clients served. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work. Eligible for flex schedule. Non-essential during inclement weather.Travel: Travel is required and will include local as well as out-of-area travel. Frequent local travel will be required to serve the home communities of the clients served by the program.Basic CompetenciesEducation, Experience and Skills Required:•Bachelor's degree in a human behavioral science•Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a residential or inpatient setting working with serious emotional disorder (SED) at-risk youth between the ages of 18-24 (preferred)•Experience as a supervisor in a residential program (preferred).•Group Home Systems experience.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
