Required Certification: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS (preferred)

No clinical involvement

Trauma Level: IV, STEMI receiving, Stroke designation

Number of Beds/Trauma Bays: 4 beds and 2 trauma bays

Fast Track: No

Separate Triage Area: No

Separate Holding Area: ER holds intermixed within the ER

Separate Psych/Seclusion Rooms: Yes

Security in-house 24/7: No

Average Patients Treated in ER/Day: 10

Experience or 'Must have' Skills: Must have 2 years ER experience & previous Medsurg experience

ED Physician &/or Mid-Levels Staffed: Yes, generally how many are on at a time?

Charge Nurse on Each Shift: Yes, and takes patients

Nurse Aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters on Each Shift: On call

RT in the ER 24/7: No

RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.): No

RNs Required to Read Their Own Strips: Yes

Brand of Tele Monitors: Mindray

X-Ray or CT in the ER: Transport

Lab Staff: Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RNs draw? Lab draws

Shifts & Scheduling: D/N Rotate – 7a-7p, 7p-7a, will consider blocked schedule

Weekend Requirements: EOW

Holiday Requirements: Yes if it falls in their blocked schedule

Floating Requirements: Float to Med/Surg and Swing bed which is on the same unit

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue

Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year
