Cell Technician

Key Responsibilities: Build and assemble experimental cells in controlled environments such as a dry room or glovebox. Prepare and handle electrode materials and electrolytes safely and precisely. Run charge and discharge testing and capture clean, careful data. Maintain rigorous records and follow safety protocols around energetic materials. Support the cell and materials teams in iterating quickly on cell designs. This role is onsite in Torrance, California. Required Qualifications: Hands-on electrochemistry, battery, or materials lab experience, or closely adjacent precise lab craft. Comfort and fluency working in glovebox, dry-room, or other controlled environments. Meticulous data discipline and genuine care for repetitive, precise work. Reliability, safety-consciousness, and a genuine enjoyment of building and measuring physical things. Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a startup setting. Preferred Qualifications: Direct battery, electrochemistry, or materials-processing experience. A background from a chemistry, materials, or pharmaceutical lab with precise-measurement experience. A relevant degree or technical certificate, for these roles we hire for hands and attitude as much as for credentials.
