Registered Nurse NICU

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients in a Level II NICU setting. Ensure patient safety and comfort while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer ventilator support and monitor infant respiratory status.
• Perform procedures such as intubations, eye exams, feeding tube insertions, and IV placements.
• Document patient care accurately using EMR systems including Centricity Perinatal and Meditech.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and adjust treatments as needed.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 1 year of NICU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ventilators, oscillators, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Possess current CPR certification.
• Have experience caring for infants between 23 and 40+ weeks gestation.
• Exhibit strong teamwork and positive communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations.
