Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Travel RN in Labor and Delivery to provide specialized maternal care at a dedicated birth center. The nurse will support low-risk pregnancies, deliveries, and postpartum care within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe and compassionate care for obstetric patients from labor through postpartum stages.
• Perform fetal monitoring, assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and manage OB emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, anesthesiologists, and lactation specialists.
• Maintain accurate documentation utilizing Meditech EMR and adhere to unit policies and procedures.
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the birthing process.
• Support active labor positioning, patient advocacy, and continuous bedside communication.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with active state registration.
• Minimum of 1 year recent acute care experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Proof of BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
• Experience with labor support techniques such as Spinning Babies and OB emergencies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to floating policies within women's units.
