Food Service DriverLocation: HVS District; Warehouse / Satellite Kitchen Salary: $18.80 - $21.30 Reports To: Food Service Supervisor Status: 46 week position, M - F; 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Start Date: As soon as possible Date Posted: 8/5/2026 Closing Date: Internal: 8/11/2026 External: Until filledPosition Highlights:School-year schedule with time off during July unless additional work is availableOne week off during Winter BreakOne week off during Spring BreakMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of high school diploma or equivalentMust possess or be able to secure a valid Michigan chauffeur's license with all required endorsementsMust possess a valid CDL-B license with air brake endorsementMust be able to adapt to assignments across multiple departments and locations, as well as seasonal work that may require changes to scheduled work hours during the school yearMust be able to follow written and verbal instructions and complete required reports accurately and in a timely mannerResponsibilities & Functions:Ability to perform tasks in a safe and timely manner consistent with district & state regulationsAbility to be organized, dependable, and to work independentlyAbility to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with program director, school personnel, and food service staffAbility to keep the truck clean and organized; as well as provide non-mechanical maintenancePhysical ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to load and unload deliveries of food & related suppliesOther duties as assigned by the Food & Nutrition Supervisor, such as warehouse duties related to Food & Nutrition servicesLanguage, Mathematical and Reasoning Skills:Ability to speak and write effectivelyAbility to apply mathematical concepts to practical situationsAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
