Position Title: Pharmacy Technician 1 Work Location: 12968 Pauline Dr, Shelby Twp, MI 48315 Assignment Duration: 12 months (possible to extend or convert) Work Schedule: 8:30 to 5 M-F Work Arrangement: Onsite Position Summary Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner. Background & Context: The primary purpose of this team is to work on partner manufacture free drug programs. This team works primarily on the fulfillment side of orders, assist in inventory management/shipping and general cleaning and organizing in the pharmacy. We are a closed door pharmacy with minimal in person contact with patients. Backfill for FTE. Key Responsibilities Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system Prepare and submit request for prescription refills Initiate clarification requests Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. The pharmacy technician would primary be responsible for preparing orders for pharmacist to review. Pharmacy technicians would help with inventory management, shipping and general cleaning and organizing in the pharmacy. Expectations is for all scheduled orders to be shipped out. There is a comprehensive scorecard used to monitor productivity. Qualification & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses. Current state's Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred. State pharmacy technician license relative to where the assigned pharmacy is located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License required at the time of hire Candidate Requirements Required: High school diploma Preferred: Required: Michigan Pharmacy technician license Preferred: Years of experience required: 1+years Disqualifiers: No retail or mail order experience Additional qualities to look for: experience operating Scriptmed software, experience in inventory management Top 3 must-have hard skills stack-ranked by importance
