Cross-Border Private Client and Tax Associate or Counsel Lawyer

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid- to senior-level associate or counsel for its cross-border private client team in New York. The ideal candidate will develop expertise in international tax, domestic trust and estate planning, and international trust and estate planning. This role involves supporting counsels and partners on complex domestic and cross-border family office structuring, trust structuring, business succession planning, and tax-efficient wealth transfer arrangements. Duties Support counsels and partners on complex family office structuring. Assist in trust structuring and business succession planning. Engage in tax-efficient wealth transfer arrangements. Participate in thought leadership initiatives, including publications and CLE presentations. Requirements 3-7 years of experience in transactional tax, domestic trust and estate, or international trust and estate law. Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive in. Interest in or experience with cross-border tax and trust planning. Prior experience in a sophisticated tax or trust and estate practice preferred. Education JD from an accredited law school; law review, journal participation, or other academic distinction preferred. Certifications Admission to the New York State Bar.
