Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will be adept in providing quality care through critical thinking and effective teamwork in a fast-paced environment. The RN will manage labor and delivery processes, assist in C-sections, and provide recovery care for patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vaginal exams and monitor fetal well-being.
• Circulate C-sections and assist in post-operative recovery.
• Manage care of laboring patients including both C-section and vaginal delivery.
• Provide support and care for high-risk antepartum patients.
• Handle obstetrical emergencies and manage care for newborns within the first hour of life.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active CA RN License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in labor and delivery, including C-section circulating and post-op care.
• Strong skills in fetal monitoring and understanding of obstetrical emergencies.
