This position is jointly employed by The University of Kansas Medical Center and The University of Kansas Health System and contributes to the clinical, educational, research, and service missions of both institutions. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the faculty member actively participates in the education and mentorship of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees. The individual also contributes to departmental and divisional academic activities through teaching, scholarly engagement, committee service, and other activities that advance the missions of the department, division, and institution.## **Job Description:****Job Duties Outlined*** Provide evidence-based clinical care for patients with leukemia and other hematologic malignancies in outpatient and inpatient settings.* Evaluate and manage patients with acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and clonal hematopoiesis.* Participate in the divisional on-call schedule and multidisciplinary patient care.* Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical rotations, rounds, conferences, and case-based learning.* Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives in hematologic malignancies.* Participate in divisional and departmental meetings, conferences, and other academic activities.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
