Summary Under the broad direction of the Radiologist and the Administrator of Diagnostic Imaging, the Ultrasound Technologist shall perform ultrasound examinations on selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician on patients based on age appropriateness. The technologist is expected to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures with the knowledge and ability to obtain a quality diagnostic examination. Responsible to obtain patient history and appropriate clinical data to aid in the diagnosis of the patient. Must be able to work scheduled, weekends and "ON CALL" hours, if applicable. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ROTATE THROUGH MULTIPLE SITES, MMH, MCC, MKC, MIP, MSS. Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree Licensure Certification Needed: Yes Minimum Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum Licensure (Other): Must have either an ARRT (R.T.(S) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent at the time of hire or with in 1 year of hire Training Required: Competencies: Competency in all aspects of Sonography. Must have a working knowledge of anatomy and an understanding of pathology, which affect the quality of the ultrasound procedure. Interpersonal skills must be emphasized. Salary Range: $35.30 - $53.79 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
