Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with patient ratios of 1:4–6
• Deliver care within a Primary Stroke Center and support STEMI patient management protocols
• Provide nursing care within two locked Behavioral Health units embedded in the ED, supported by security and ED staffing teams
• Work within rapid evaluation units designed for urgent care and critical care needs, including rapid medical screenings
• Float within the hospital as needed, remaining within scope of practice
• Complete required onboarding and annual compliance modules virtually

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license – valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience, plus at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to float within the hospital within scope of practice
• Professional references required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Primary Stroke Center or with STEMI patient populations
• Prior experience providing care in a Behavioral Health emergency setting
• Familiarity with rapid evaluation and medical screening processes in high-volume EDs
