Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
• At least two years recent experience in field: Required

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care.
• Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
• Collects and analyzes patient health data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Implements care plans and promotes a safe environment for patients.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide patient care in a safe and humane environment.
• Provides health information and learning opportunities for patients and their families.
• Participates in discharge planning for continuity of care.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
