Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Nuclear Medicine Technologist position. Shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Four years of experience required. Experience with patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. No first-time travelers are allowed. Previous charge experience is preferred. Daily census consists of 20-22 studies. Interdisciplinary support available includes rapid response teams and pharmacy. Special procedures performed in this role include MUGA scans, SPECT scans, and exercise/pharmacological stress studies. Knowledge of storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials is essential. Candidates should float within their skill set as needed. Flexibility in scheduling is required, and requests outside of the norm should be disclosed. Travelers must adhere to specific time off policies. Sick sinus syndrome, CAD, and diabetes are some patient diagnoses encountered.
