This position will break, cover vacancies, and train employees in all Packaging Operator positions to ensure that all packaging area equipment and people are able to package French fry and specialty products in an efficient manner consistent with customer, quality assurance and packaging goals and expectations.Key Responsibilities:Operation of the Blueprint case packer and case erector, baggers, Ishida scales, and all supporting equipment of the Retail Line/Line 4 for optimal performance.Efficient operation of baggers, Ishida scales and supporting equipment to meet required packaged volumes and package machines and support equipment to achieve required weights and bag and case condition.Enters data regarding downtime into MMS.Corrects underweight cases and slip cases as needed.Packaging equipment and immediate area is maintained in a food sanitary manner, which meets Company standards.Packaging materials are readily available at all times and proper programming on all packaging equipment.Ability to troubleshoot all packaging equipment and to train on all procedures and operating techniques.Demonstrates the ability to work with maintenance to perform preventative maintenance.Packaging equipment and immediate area is maintained in a food sanitary manner on a daily basis and during major cleanup, which meets company standards.Attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.Ensures no injuries of self or others by following safe work practices policies and self-compliance with Company policies and procedures and Union Labor Agreement.Interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.Conducts him/herself in a professional manner and ensures personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the company.Ensures that additional accountabilities as may be required by management be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational goals.Typical Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Relevant Experience: 3+ years related experience and/or trainingLocation(s): GF Plant - Othello Country: United StatesRate of Pay: $26.65/hrAttractive total rewards package that includes: Medical, dental, vision coverage 401(k) savings plan 10 Paid Holidays Vacation Time Details available in Collective Bargaining Agreement Paid Family Building Leave Education Assistance Benefits details available at simplotbenefits.comThe Simplot Company is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, marital status, or any other protected status.
