This full-time position operates during the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM , featuring a rotating schedule and options for self-scheduling, providing both flexibility and a chance to take on a leadership role.

Compensation

Pay Range: $32.77 - $52.43 per hour

Job Summary

The Charge RN will provide leadership and coordinate staffing within the unit while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the achievement of clinical objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, educate, and supervise nursing and support staff during the assigned shift.
• Assess daily patient care needs and create patient care assignments, ensuring appropriate care is provided.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers to achieve quality outcomes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting desired outcomes.
• Address patient care complaints through established channels.
• Provide input on hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation

Graduate from an accredited nursing school or equivalent educational background for licensing.

Experience

A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent oral communication and standing/walking.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry.
• Regular use of vision for near and far distances, as well as color differentiation.
• Frequent use of smell and hearing for communication and safety alerts.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs and moving patients.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and driving.
• Rare crawling and running.

Licenses and Certifications

Required certifications vary by state, including:

• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license specific to the state of work location
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent certifications (e.g., NRP, PALS) - AHA or AAP
