General Maintenance Technician

This person must have strong communication skills and a solid background in building maintenance.The day to day involves:Identifying and resolving general maintenance issues.Maintaining lighting system bulbs and ballasts.Working with the team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.Performing general interior maintenance – hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems.Carrying out minor plumbing repairs.Completing special tasks that include but are not limited to; painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.Moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.Performing assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.Responding effectively to all emergencies 24/7.Complying with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognizing danger and safety hazards and proposing methods to eliminate them.Required:3+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair & maintenance, basic plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills are preferred.Basic computer skills and experience with a CMMS are needed.Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28 ft., possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.Must be a problem solver and be able to come up with creative solutions for general building needs.Shift:Monday - Friday; 7 AM to 3:30 PMOvertime or working off-hours as needed.This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
