Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 1 month within the last 6 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years of PCU experience for PCU/PCU ER holds. - ICU: cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, and trachs. - PCU: cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, lumbar drains, trachs, and IV medication titration (Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, non-DKA insulin, heparin; sometimes Cardene). - Med-Surg: IVs, PCAs, chest tubes, drains, ostomies, and IV antibiotics.

Required Credentials: - If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Special Requests: - Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will not be considered. - You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility.

Unit Details: - Primary unit is ED holding. - ICU population includes respiratory failure, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, complicated post-operative patients, CVAs, flap surgeries, post-arrest, ETOH, and IVDA. - Higher-level ICU therapies include Rotoprone, manual prone, hypothermia protocol, CRRT, and TPA. Travelers will not take flap surgery patients. No craniotomies, major traumas, or major cardiothoracic cases. - PCU and observation population includes respiratory compromise, sepsis, renal failure, bleeding disorders, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and general medical/surgical and ortho cases. - Med-Surg coverage may include oncology, psych, ortho, palliative, post-op, COPD, CHF, sepsis, DVT, AKI, dialysis, PE, and COVID. COVID is common on the floor. - Rehab coverage includes stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI, multi-trauma, post-COVID, and post-ICU patients. Vents and trachs are on the unit, and respiratory therapy provides just-in-time training. - ED holding includes mixed diagnoses, isolation patients, and non-ambulatory patients in a fast-paced environment. - Patient ratios vary by area: ICU 1:2 based on acuity; PCU/CCU 1:4 depending on acuity or discharge status; medical/surgical 1:5; rehab uses a 2:8 team model (RN, LPN, Tech); ED holding ratios are ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, and MS 1:5. - May transport patients throughout the hospital, including inpatient units, ED, CT, MRI, Nuc Med, PACU, and Cath Lab. - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis.

Floating Requirements: - Could float for partial shifts. - Will float within scope of practice and below. - If floated from PCU to Med-Surg, assignment ratio is 1:5.
