Earn full time pay and benefits while you assist physicians and other Cath lab personnel in conducting vital diagnostic tests and procedures; and operate advanced medical equipment to capture crucial images and data of the heart and blood vessels.

What You'll Need:

• ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
• Must have 2 years' experience in a Cath Lab hospital setting
• BLS & ACLS Certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• State specific licensing when required
• Fluoroscopy certification
• Current cath lab experience
• Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, procedural processes, airway management, cardiac drips such as Integrilin, dopamine, and vasopressors, as well as balloon pumps
• Experience with cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro intervention

Assignment Details:

• Shift days: Friday-Sunday
• Every other weekend required
• First to float
• Rotating weeknight call required once per week
• Weekend call required once per month from Friday evening through Monday morning
• Charting system: Cerner
• Five suites/labs, including coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and EP coverage
• Average daily case volume ranges from 10-22 total cases
• First-time travelers welcome

Bakersfield offers access to outdoor recreation and regional travel across Central California. The Kern River Parkway Trail runs about 30 miles through the city, and the Kern River corridor provides rafting, fishing, and hiking options within a short drive. Sequoia National Forest is roughly 70 miles northeast, and Wind Wolves Preserve spans nearly 100,000 acres southwest of Bakersfield for hiking, wildlife viewing, and open-space exploration. Downtown Bakersfield includes the Fox Theater and Mechanics Bank Arena, while the city also has rail service through Amtrak and access to Highway 99 for regional travel.
