Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pediatrics Profession: RN Pediatrics Specialty: RN Pediatrics Duration: 12 months Shift: 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required prior to hire or job transfer date. Certifications: - Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire or job transfer date. - BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire or job transfer date. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support is preferred. Must-Have: - 1+ year of Operating Room RN experience. - Pediatric RN experience is a plus. Description: Deliver Operating Room Registered Nurse care by providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Coordinate patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows, clear communication, and high-quality clinical outcomes. Perform circulating nurse responsibilities by monitoring patient status, documenting care in the Electronic Health Record, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation. Provide scrub nurse support by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons to promote procedural efficiency and patient safety. The unit features 14 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy procedure rooms. On-call duties may be required. BLS and PALS certifications are necessary.
